In Judy’s own words:

I have been with Brookside Real Estate Company since October of 2002, and have worn many hats within the company, including co-broker, agent, and office manager. Upon graduating from UMKC with degrees in Sociology, Psychology and Law, I became a practicing attorney for 26 years, and handled a large number of cases involving real estate issues. When reflecting on those days, I like to joke that I am a “recovering lawyer.”

I really enjoy working with my real estate clients. I believe that my varied background has enabled me to provide several specific skills when assisting my clients, especially in areas involving negotiation. I particularly love working with first-time home buyers.

I was born and raised in Independence, Missouri, then moved to the Brookside area in 1973, when I married my husband, Loren Rea, also an attorney. In 1977, Loren and I did a complete rehab of the home in which we now reside – definitely a labor of love.

Today, we love being “Brooksiders.” We particularly enjoy being close to so many wonderful restaurants, grocery stores and boutique shops, and exciting events such as the Brookside Art Annual, the Brookside St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and Halloween “Trick or Treat Street” in the business district. Another great thing about Brookside: most everything is within walking distance.

Outside of Brookside Real Estate Company, I enjoy a variety of leisure activities. You will often find me in the kitchen cooking for friends and family, reading a book, knitting, or creating artwork with oils and pastels.
