Ellen’s Bio

In Ellen’s own words:

I fell in love with my first old house as a child, when my aunt and uncle moved to Brookside. Since 1946 my family has owned a large kitchen cabinet manufacturing company, Grandview Products in Parsons, Kansas. Through my experience of growing up around the housing industry and my love of old houses, I became a kitchen and bath contractor in Madison, Wisconsin and worked for Pella windows. All of these experiences have led to me becoming an old house specialist.

When I returned to Kansas City to be closer to my family, I knew where I had to live: Brookside. I purchased my house from an agent at Brookside Real Estate Company and my experience as a buyer was so fabulous that I had to pursue my dream and join their team. After an 8-month renovation of an old house it has now become my “dream home,” and I am firmly ensconced in the neighborhood. I love working with buyers to offer them a high level of knowledge, and helping make a house their own “dream home.”

When I’m not hard at work helping find my clients find just the right house, I enjoy being active in the community. I’m a board member on the Wornall Homestead Homes Association and serve on the Country Club/ Waldo Steering Committee. I’m a Saab enthusiast, and own two beautiful cars. I occasionally can be seen around the neighborhood with the top down or driving in the Brookside St. Patrick’s Day Parade. I’m a lifetime Girl Scout member, “Thanks Badge” honoree, and work with teenage Girl Scouts. I host an annual backyard party for clients and friends every August to share my love of live blues music, and the party is growing every year. See you in the neighborhood!
